Safe Haven Private Vaults decided to update it's media logos, designs and more. We took out the iris, and went with a basic shield and key to make it resemble a more safety and security attribute. It's a bit simpler than the iris, but sometimes simple is better. Also we decided to scratch the "secure, for your peace of mind" and "Utah's only private vault storage" as the sub tittle or "deck" of the logo. Adding also key lock to the A's of Safe Haven as well. We think it looks really clean and clear with this honey comb background. What do you think?

USD 53 million jewels stolen from a hotel in Cannes

Check out this crazy burglary in France. This is one of the many reasons I opened my company, Safe Haven Private Vaults. According to reports a staggering 40 million euro (that's $53 million) worth of diamonds and other jewels was stolen on Sunday from the prestigues Carlton Intercontinental Hotel in Cannes. One expert noted the crime follows recent jail escapes by members of the notorious "Pink Panther" jewel thief gang.

The valuable gems were supposed to be on public display until the end of August. It was not immediately clear how many pieces were stolen.

"On Feb. 18 in Belgium, some $50 million worth of diamonds were stolen. In that heist, robbers targeted stones from the global diamond center of Antwerp that had been loaded on a plane headed to Zurich. Authorities have since detained dozens of people and recovered much of the items stolen in that operation." noted from yahoo news reporter, Thomas Adamson, Associated Press
Adamson also noted, "Five years ago, in December 2008, armed robbers wearing women's wigs and clothing made off with diamond rings, gem-studded bracelets and other jewelry said then to be worth $108 million from a Harry Winston boutique in Paris."
Another burglary was reported in February of 2008, in a scene reminiscent of the movie "The Italian Job," where thieves tied up the staff of the Damiani jewelry company showroom in Milan, Italy, with plastic cable and sticky tape, then made off with gold, diamonds and rubies worth some $20 million.
On a side note, what a crazy thought. Maybe it's time to upgrade jewelry stores to a more safe and secure setting. Imagine those robbers trying to get into a place like Safe Haven, with: insurance,  several layers of steel reinforced and ballistic grade walls, bulletproof glass, laser, motion, and pressure sensors, over 50 cameras, backup power, state of the art fire prevention systems and even armed guards. Maybe that's just me, but rather safe than sorry would seem like the best bet after these various scandals of theft.
